Flynn Named to 2021-22 PRSA National Membership Committee
September 15, 2021 3:12 pm Leave your thoughtsAfter leading a “moonshot membership effort” for the Dallas Chapter of Public Relations Society of America in 2019, which led to the chapter becoming the fourth largest chapter in the country with more than 350 active members, Melissa K. Flynn, APR, was recently asked to join the organization’s 2021-22 National Membership Committee. The committee oversees membership promotions, practices, renewal and retention strategies centered around the professional needs of strategic communications professionals across the country – from professional development and networking to career resources and continuing education. Currently, PRSA serves nearly 30,000 professionals. “The pandemic has significantly challenged professional organization membership,” says Flynn. “We know our members need the resources and connectivity we provide communications professionals now more than ever, yet the landscape has changed. The onus is on PRSA to evolve with our members’ needs, and I am committed to listening and being that member ‘voice’.”
